Poems were mediocre though. Kind of like plain oatmeal.

Yes, I have read a ton of Rod Mckuen. His whole collection of poetry books was passed down from my mother (48 yrs old), who was a big fan, to me (24 yrs old). My favorite is Celebrations of the Heart. My absolute favorite poem is Inner Workings. He is a great talent.
