I need to write an acrostic poem using one of these words as the main word: genealogy, genocide, congenital, engender, indigenous, or ingenious. It needs to show the meaning of the word, and it needs to be one long sentence. Thx!

Dear Debbie,

You say that "You need to write an acrostic poem" when what you really mean is "Will someone write me an acrostic poem? Someone can, but it appears that no one will as I think that they feel that you can do it yourself. However seeing as you have asked this 80 year old gent will try for you, which you may alter to suit yourself. I think that I will choose the word Genealogy as that is what I do most of the day.

Getting to know my lost family

Engaged in knowing who they are.

Not knowing is a great mystery

Endearing to me they are by far.

Always elusive these lost names,

Lost they maybe but not forgotten,

One only has to be determined to

Go to it to find our lost begotten,

You will find them, relatives of you.

There you are young lady. Now do with it as you please.

Regards to you.

Good heavens! I feel like such a twit!

Ed is descended from the Earl of Leiscester!

Nathan is related to the great Brad Pitt!

Everyone now has some famous ancestor--

All, that is, except me. I'm a nit!

Larry's distant cousin was James G. Blane!

Ollie's great-grandfather Robert E. Lee!

George is connected to Clemens (Mark Twain)!

Yet no one at all is related to me.

Hi, Robert - welcome back to AY (I've only just seen you here)

Congenital - free verse

Came forth from the womb

One tiny human being.

Nothing unusual in that

Generating is what we do

Except this little one was marked

Nature had bestowed on him a sign.

It was a perfect little cross

Tattoo-like upon his brow

A mark from birth to show

Love and sacrifice for all.

I have no idea where that came from! I am an atheist...but, hey it fits the word.
