Going Home.....

Years and years of senseless running around,
Many times felt like being buried underground.
No peace of mind with no solid root,
For once I may find the honest truth.

Life was almost stolen, many times being lost,
Going home now,no matter what it costs.
Dreams,empty feelings,knowing nothing,runs deep,
GOD in heaven knows and with me HE weeps.

Crying one day will turn into a welcome smile,
The river runs deep and I have walked for miles.
All for nothing,it seemed to be a waste,
Serenity,the truth,I can't wait to taste.

The journey leads me here and it's about time,
Not too bad,being here i wouldn't mind.
Everyone told me,you will never find a place,
You know what?I finally won the race.

Rest at last,I will no longer roam,
I finally made it to my brand new home.

I used to live in a place like that you know, OH YES I DID. It wasn't all that it was cracked up to be, we used to get visitors walking by every day gaping at us. There I was sat at my typewriter trying to write my next masterpiece, it was all to no avail. I do like the thought of what your poem conjures up though.

Perfect place for a poet

Is in the here and now

There is no time like the present

A perfect gift lift a pen

Write what you feel

And somehow make it real

Paper box or pent house suit

Down and out on a street

Life for some is hard

For others life is sweet

Lift your pen and write

There is no wrong or right

Your words are your words

What you say or where you say them

Talk about peace, war or mayhem

Confusion is in the eye of life

Lift your pen express lucid thinking

Remembering the where and when

How what and why

Questions one asks

When life is in the beholders eye

Pretty dang powerful, but too a gentle reminder of finding our own balance, our own place in an out of place world. Love the challenge as much as any win.
