How do you like my poem?

Question

I wrote it for fun, I'm sorry that it's kinda long.
I'm not sure what it's about, but it came from me, my heart. I suppose.
The people that have read my poem so far, think it should be a song, but I dunno.

I wanna tell you that I miss you,
I wanna say that what we had was so true
I wanna hold you here forever,
And know that everything will be better

But the best I can do is dream,
Then everything will be better than it seems
Cause in reality I have no one,
Everything I've ever known of is gone

I don't know how much longer I'll wait,
But don't you think it's getting kind of late
I have nothing to do anymore,
The place where my heart was is so sore

Living in this world, I can't imagine,
Without you here, my life is nothing
Sitting here I long for your return,
I keep waiting, when will I learn

Days and days of missing us,
The love we shared was, no doubt, a rush
I wanna feel that way again,
I want you more than just a friend

Though, you don't feel like that any longer,
I have to fight, I must be stronger
But all my strength has gone away,
It won't come back until it hears you say

That you love me, you miss me,
And you know where I'll be
Waiting again for our hearts to combine,
A chance to let our love shine

That's the most I can hope for,
To feel your love another time, once more
But are you willing to love me again,
I remember how strong we could've been

Just give me one chance; I'll make it right,
I'm tired of wanting to put up a fight
Because it's all gone now, I shouldn't try
The only things I can do are to lay here and cry

I'm losing all the feeling in me,
I finally know what it's like not to see
No more joy, no more smiles,
Just the feeling of losing breath for a while

I've lost my thought; don't know what to say anymore,
Right now, I'm feeling cold to my core
I suppose that's the feeling of loneliness,
But in all of this sadness, I must confess

With you or not, I want you to know,
I will and always have, loved you so
My reason for being here today,
Is so that we'll never fade away

Wow, that poem was just amazing! It's something that is really special, the words you've put together are great, and you could really become a poet one day, cuz I'm pretty sure anyone would love to hear your poems. Sweet poem, I wish I could hear more of your poetry if you have any.

By the way, as I was reading it I was thinking, you could turn this into a song. lol.

For me a poem has to have rhythm. It does not always have got to rhyme but it surely demands to hit my feelings. I feel readability of expression is major as good. I do not love to moment bet what I'm studying approximately. I consistently seem for what I time period "poetic gemstones"within the textual content.

Yes it is a bit long. You could make two poems from this and still seems pretty good. I can see you have much emotion and it shows your touch in poem writing is good. Keep up your good work because it could be very good for publishing.

wow that was great! it is really long though. try condensing it a bit. and loose the cheesy rhymes. rhyming doesn't work unless the rhythm's right
