i need to write 2 free verse poems ASAP!!! i need help. can u write down ur own or explain to me how to write on down?

The most important thing about free verse poetry is to evoke emotion or imagery in the reader. Free verse poetry is unconstrained by rhythm, meter, and rhyme; but the trade-off is, it needs to be the *best* words in the *best* order, not

merely an ordinary sentence

broken up onto

several different

lines!



Literary devices like imagery, metaphor, simile, alliteration and assonace come into their own in free verse. Make your reader *feel* something.

I most often attach the term "Free verse" to such, and even here you can find talented people who present in that way. I might, depending on the context of a piece, disagree with "No rhyme, rhythm, reason" Very often a free verse poem has internal rhyme, and certainly can be more than a diatribe narrative in some rhythm, but to say free verse is not poetry as so many do, wanting rhyming lines, is a sad mistake.
